401st Group Memorial
[imageright|Photo (taken in 1997)<br/>courtesy of Lou Cooper.|{UP(401st Group Memorial)}401mem01.jpg|{UP(401st Group Memorial)}401mem01.jpg] Located roadside adjacent to a field that was once Station 128 near Deenethorpe, Northamptonshire County, England, this memorial was dedicated in 1989. The inscription on the memorial reads: '''"From This Airfield The Gallant Men Of The 401st Flew 254 Combat Missions Over Germany and Occupied Europe in Sturdy B-17 Aircraft. The Group Was Awarded Two Distinguished Unit Citations And Had The Best Bombing Accuracy Record and The Second Lowest Loss Ratio Among B-17 Groups in The 8th Air Force."''' <!-- ToDo: Should probably create an album here with all memorial photos on it. Maybe change the Memorial Randomizer to look at the photos here. May also need to change it to dynamically read them. -->
